Yoga Teacher Training
with Larry & Marie Schultz
Mon, August 24 to Fri, August
28 @ Danforth
Don't
miss this opportunity to study with Larry!
Larry
Schultz created the Rocket routine, a series
of postures based on a modification of the
traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary
and intermediate series, to renew energy and
vitality in the body. This vibrant routine
is called the "Rocket" because,
"it gets you there faster."
Every
rocket sequence is made up of 4 parts. Starting
with traditional ashtanga suryanamskaras,
the sequence moves onto an original standing
sequence, full of standard standing poses
as well as arm balances to build strength
and protect joints. The series finishes off
with the traditional ashtanga finishing series.

Man
Sentenced to Yoga Classes
for Slapping His Wife
HOUSTON,
USA - A man convicted of slapping his wife
has been sentenced to yoga classes. Judge
Larry Standley said yoga should help James
Lee Cross with his anger management. Cross
was ordered to take the class as part of his
yearlong probation. The judge said Cross'
case is unique and prosecutors agreed. Cross
claimed he hit his wife during a New Year's
Eve argument about her drinking problem.
Cross
said he hopes the yoga will also help him
lose weight. Standley, who is known for his
creative sentencing, has in the past ordered
dozens of people convicted of drunken driving
to collect newspaper clippings about the crime.
If
I was Jewish I'd say oy vey! This is the funniest
and best yoga news I've heard in years. what
a testimonial to how yoga is now mainstream
acceptable. Perhaps our new supreme court
nominee will advocate yoga as a supreme remedy
for pain and suffering for many more Americans.
Now
click your heels together and say, "there's
no place like om, there's no place like om....there's
no place like om....
